Digital Fingerprint: Discover Your Browser's Real Signature

Your browser leaks dozens of data points that combined create a unique 'fingerprint': fonts installed, screen resolution, timezone, GPU rendering (canvas fingerprint), audio context, WebRTC, browser plugins. This fingerprint identifies you uniquely without needing cookies.

Our detector shows you exactly what your browser leaks. Includes uniqueness score compared with millions of other browsers — the more common your combination, the harder to identify you. Ironically, using 'privacy' extensions can make your fingerprint more unique.

Educational tool for understanding tracking beyond cookies. If you're concerned about privacy, consider Tor Browser (all users share the same fingerprint) or Brave (built-in fingerprint randomization).

How does it work?

  1. 1
    Run the analysis

The tool inspects your browser and calculates the fingerprint automatically (5-10 seconds).

  2. 2
    Review the details

You'll see each data point and its uniqueness (percentage of users sharing it).

  3. 3
    Get the score

Total uniqueness in bits: >20 bits means you're practically identifiable. <10 bits = well-mixed in the crowd.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do incognito windows change my fingerprint?

No. Incognito only prevents saving history/cookies. Your fingerprint (fonts, canvas, GPU) is the same because it depends on the browser and hardware, not the profile. Sites can identify you across incognito and normal sessions.

Do fingerprint-blocking extensions work?

Partially. They add noise to canvas/audio but not to all fingerprint vectors. Sometimes they make you MORE identifiable because few users use that specific extension. Better: use Tor Browser or Brave with 'Strict fingerprint protection'.

Can Instagram/Facebook identify me by fingerprint?

Yes, and they do. Meta, Google, and TikTok use fingerprinting for cross-device tracking. Combined with your IP, they can link your 'private' account with your work account. That's why VPN alone isn't enough for anonymity.
